Eligible regular full-time or regular part-time (75%+) employees may enroll in one of two voluntary dental insurance plans. Coverage will begin the first day of the month following completion of one full calendar month of employment.

Cigna Dental Health Maintenance Organization (DHMO) - Prepaid Provider
Provides services at fixed copay amounts paid by the member. A narrow network of participating Cigna General Dentists and Specialists must be used to receive benefits.

MetLife Dental Preferred Provider Organization (DPPO)
Members may use any dentist, but will save money by choosing an in-network dentist. The MetLife DPPO plan uses MetLife’s PDP Plus network.

To search for a provider in MetLife's PDP Plus network:
- Access metlife.com/stateoftn
- Select "Dental Insurance
- Scroll down and select "Search" under "Find a Dentist"
- Select "PDP Plus" from the dropdown labeled "Your Network"
- Key a desired zip code and select "Find"
- Important: On the PDP Plus network results screen, SpotLite providers will be listed first and then all other providers will be listed when the “Sort by” option is set at “Distance and SpotLite”
Plan Changes / Canceling Insurance
Plan changes or cancellation of insurance is not permitted outside of the Annual Enrollment Period unless the covered person experiences a qualifying event or family status change. Qualifying changes in coverage will become effective on January 1.
