Investigative Services
Our investigators collaborate closely with the Title IX Prevention and Survivor Support Specialist in the Office of Title IX Compliance, who works to reduce the impact of gender-based violence at UTC and within the broader community. This role focuses on supporting survivors of relationship violence, sexual assault, stalking, and sexual harassment.
Through strong partnerships with campus and community organizations, the Office of Title IX Compliance takes a multidisciplinary approach to ensure that UTC provides comprehensive prevention efforts and coordinated responses to interpersonal violence. Support services are available to all survivors—regardless of gender—as well as to friends and family members of those affected.

Investigators' responsibilities include:
- Investigation of criminal offenses that occur on campus, interviewing involved parties (i.e. victims, suspects, and witnesses).
- Procurement and service of warrants.
- Conducting background investigations on new Police Department employees.
- Internal Affairs investigations.
- Evidence control for the entire department.
