Alcohol and Other Drug Education
There are many misconceptions, myths, and misunderstandings related to substance use. A positive college experience is about making informed choices that support success inside and outside the classroom.
Know the Signs of Overdose: PUBS
An easy way to remember the signs of overdose is to use the acronym “PUBS”:
• PUKING repeatedly or while passed out
• UNCONSCIOUS or unresponsive
• BREATH is slow, shallow, or stopped
• SKIN is pale, ashen, or discolored (especially at lips or fingertips)
Never leave someone showing these signs to “sleep it off.” Always call for emergency medical help.
