Center for Wellbeing
Holistic Mission
Our center is a resource for discovering a healthier, well-balanced lifestyle. We provide you with the tools, knowledge, and community to help you take care of yourself by developing coping skills, recognizing warning signs, practicing self-care, and helping others.
Substance Use Prevention
Take control with resources and knowledge to keep yourself and your friends safe.
Bystander Intervention
Our bystander intervention program enables the UTC community to step up and help peers in situations ranging from academics to discrimination to mental health.
Step UP! is a prosocial behavior and bystander intervention program that educates students to be proactive in helping others. It received a NASPA Gold award and recently was identified as a ‘Best Practice’ by the NCAA Sports Science Institute of national and international scholars.
Mental Health and Suicide Awareness
We provide a comprehensive approach to promote connectedness, train our community to recognize warning signs, help you know how to ask the question, promote access to mental health services and provide support when a death by suicide occurs. Learn more about how you can help prevent suicide by attending one of our trainings for students, faculty and staff.
Sexual Misconduct, Relationship Violence, and Stalking Prevention
The Center for Student Wellbeing engages the campus community in trainings, programs, and initiatives that seek to reduce sexual misconduct, relationship violence, and stalking experienced by our students.
Facts and Figures
Every year, UTC is required to share information about university, state and federal policies regarding alcohol, other drugs and weapons.
