Minor in Communication
The Department of Communication offers a minor. This minor is available to students who are not majoring in communication.
Requirements
Beginning in fall 2023, students minoring in Communication need to take a total of 18 hours, including:
- COMM 1010 - Introduction to Mass Communication (3 credit hours)
- COMM 1100 - Communication Technology (1 credit hour)
- COMM 2300 - Media Writing (3 credit hours)
- at least 11 credit hours of other COMM classes, nine credit hours must be at the 3000 - 4000 level.
You can choose to take the majority, if not all, of your electives in one area of study or you can mix and match.
