Thank you for registering for your tour at UTC! Please make sure to read the information listed below and print out your parking pass before your visit.


Additional COVID-19 instructions

Check for COVID-19 Symptoms

UTC asks that you perform a COVID-19 symptom assessment before arriving on campus. If you are not feeling well on the day of your scheduled visit, please do not attempt to visit campus. If you have been in contact with someone who has COVID-19 symptoms or is positive for the virus, please do not attempt to visit campus. Instead, please contact us at (423)425-4662 and we will do our very best to reschedule your tour for another date. 

If you have visited campus, but are now experiencing COVID-19 related symptoms, please fill out this form as soon as possible.

Face coverings are required during your entire visit

You and your guests (maximum of 2 per student) are required to bring and wear a face covering when visiting campus. Face coverings must cover your nose and mouth, including masks and face shields. Face coverings must be worn at all times while on campus, including while physical distancing of six feet or greater.

Masks are required while on any part of the University grounds. This includes in and out of all University buildings. 

On the day of your visit

You and your guest will check in for your tour in the Undergraduate Admissions office (101 University Center). The University center is located diagonally across the street from the 5th Street Parking garage. (601 East 5th Street (Mocs Alumni Drive)).

Upon arrival, please check in with the Admissions office front desk staff. We will pair you with your tour guide at this time. You will be required to complete an additional COVID-19 health screening at this time. Answering ‘YES’ to any of the health screening questions will result in the cancellation of your campus tour. The screening contains the following questions: 

  • Have you or anyone in your immediate traveling party, been told to quarantine/isolate by a medical provider or the health department?
  • In the past 14 days, have you or anyone in your immediate traveling party, had close contact (i.e. less than 6 feet of physical distance) for 10 minutes or more with someone who has or is suspected of having COVID-19?
  • Are you or anyone in your immediate traveling party, experiencing a cough, shortness of breath, or difficulty breathing which is new or not explained by a pre-existing condition?
  • In the past 48 hours, have you or anyone in your immediate traveling party, had at least two of the following symptoms which is new or not explained by a pre-existing condition: fever, chills, repeated shaking chills, fatigue, muscle pain, body aches, headache, sore throat, nasal congestion or runny nose, vomiting, diarrhea, or loss of taste or smell?
  • Did you or any member in your immediate travel party, have a temperature of 100.4 at any point in the past 72 hours?
  • Have you or any member in your immediate traveling party, tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 14 days?

At this time, we are not allowed to enter campus housing. We are also minimizing the number of buildings in which we enter during our tours. 

If you have visited campus, but are now experiencing COVID-19 related symptoms, please fill out this form as soon as possible. 


These guidelines will help you prepare for a wonderful visit:

  • We use an automated check-in system based on the phone number provided during your registration. Make sure to bring the cell phone that is tied to that number with you! 

  • Don't be late.  That's just embarrassing. Remember, all times listed are Eastern.

  • Be prepared to walk outside.  Wear comfortable shoes and dress appropriately for the weather. Bring an umbrella just in case.

  • Set up additional appointments with departments of interest around campus in advance. These are optional and are set up through each department.

  • Wear blue & gold... it's a safe bet.


Parking Instructions


Parking is available in the 5th Street Parking garage which is located at 601 East 5th Street (Mocs Alumni Dr) (This link will also provide driving instructions if necessary). Please make sure to print your parking pass and display it on your car dashboard during your visit. Disability parking information is available at the Parking Services website

Admissions Tour Center 

Tours begin in the Admissions Tour Center located in the University Center, Room 272. Follow these steps from the 5th Street Parking garage to locate the Admissions Tour Center.

Look for Scrappy's feet!

Once you exit the 5th Street Parking garage, proceed to the crosswalk. Once you've crossed 5th Street, follow Scrappy's footprints to the tour facility.

Continue following Scrappy on the sidewalk next to the University Center.

Once you've reached the University Center entrance (beside the bookstore), proceed in the doors and towards the interior of the University Center.
