1. Create your syllabus using the syllabus template
The syllabus template is available using the link below. The template is a Microsoft Word form that includes all required syllabus sections. Download the file and open in Word to edit.

The following statements are available in the syllabus template:
Student Technology: If you have technology needs to access your courses and/or complete course requirements in Canvas, submit a request with Information Technology.
Student Accommodations: If you have accessibility and accommodation requests, contact the Disability Resource Center at 423-425-4006 or email [email protected].

2. Save your syllabus with the naming convention
To aid in retrieving your syllabus from UTC Learn, please use the naming convention as follows:
DEPT.COURSE NUMBER.CRN.SYLLABUS.TERMYEAR (see examples below)
Save the syllabus file as a .doc file (not .docx) as this is the most accessible Word format.
You can also save the file as an accessible pdf.
3. Upload your syllabus to UTC Learn (Canvas)
To upload your syllabus to UTC Learn (Canvas), follow the steps in the tutorial. Please upload the syllabus file.
