Queer & Questioning, 6:30 P.M. - 7:30 P.M.
Sponsored by Hope House
Our first weekly small group gathering for those who are allies of or identify as LGBTQI+ and are seeking space to wrestle with identity and faith. We start from the premise that God created all of us in God’s image, called ALL creation Good, and affirm God made no mistakes when God made us. Suzanne DeWitt Hall’s book Where True Love Is, is an affirming devotional for LGBTQI+ individuals and their allies, which will be the backbone for our discussions; although, sometimes because life happens, we’ll throw out the book and stand or walk with one another as necessary on our journey. We’ll meet in the basement’s coffee shop, Fairly Decent Coffee Shop.

Join us as we study the contexts in which these ancient texts were written, as well as, discern how the original Hebrew language might be best interpreted in light of these discoveries as we delve into the book of Genesis. The ongoing product will be our original translations of the beautifully written ancient text. No homework or prior knowledge necessary!
