Welcome to the UTC University Center
The University Center, or UC, is the central hub of the UTC campus, containing offices,
dining facilities, the campus bookstore, and meeting spaces for campus departments
and student organizations. With nearly 200,000 square feet of space, the UC is active
both day and night with the comings and goings of campus. We hope you will stop by
and visit our facility the next time you are on campus.
The University Center will be closed Saturday, January 19 - Monday, January 21 for the Martin Luther King Holiday. We will reopen at 7:00am on Tuesday, January 22.

University Center Sustainability Efforts
In a survey conducted by the University Center, 79.2% of the surveyed students indicated that saving the planet through recycling and keeping items out of landfills is important.
The University Center provides easy access to multiple stations where paper, aluminum and plastic may be recycled. This recycling system is made possible through a partnership with Orange Grove Center, which is a local non-profit organization that employs persons with developmental disabilities.
During UC renovations we strive to bring eco-friendly products into the building. A few examples are:
A sustainable porcelain floor (EcoCycle tile) made from recycled materials in the Third Floor Lounge area.
Over 40 LED light bulbs installed in the Game Room to replace less efficient incandescent bulbs.
New carpet made from sustainable materials installed on the Third Floor hallway.
The UC has added bottle filling stations at the water-fountains next to the Commons restrooms on the Second Floor and next to the Lower Gallery restrooms on the First Floor. The stations were provided by the Environmental Task Force and funded through the Student Green Fee.
