Fall Orientation

  Freshman, Transfer and Post Baccalaureate students (new to UTC only)

This required one-day orientation session is designed for new students to finalize their course schedule, receive important information about campus resources and services, and connect with current students, faculty and staff. 

Sessions are available on a first come, first serve basis. We do not keep a wait list for closed sessions.

Fall 2025 Orientation Session Dates

  Freshman Sessions

  • May 20, May 21
  • June 5, June 6, June 17, June 18, June 26, June 27
  • July 17, July 18
  • July 22 (online), July 24, July 25
  • Freshman are allowed to attend the August 1st Transfer session.

   Transfer Sessions

  • April 22 (online)
  • June 11, June 24 (online)
  • July 15, July 22 (online)
  • August 1

If you want to enroll for Fall 2025 and cannot attend any of the Orientation dates we will open registration for the Express Enrollment option on August 1st. 

Express Enrollment is a student led onboarding process for students that cannot attend any of the scheduled Orientation dates. This will be a free onboarding option that will help detail your next steps to enrollment for Fall 2025, including how to contact your advisor and register for classes. Students must register for this session before they will be granted access. Please check back on August 1st and we will have registration open for Express Enrollment! 

In the meantime, if you are a new undergraduate degree-seeking student that has not completed your immunization requirement, please start working on this now! Immunization information must be completed, uploaded, submitted and approved to register for classes.

New students that do not attend orientation, but want to enroll or Fall 2025 will be able to register for classes on Aug 4th or after as long as they have registered and completed the steps listed in the Enrollment Enrollment Confirmation.

   Session Fee

The fall orientation fee is $80 per student and $40 per guest registration. Due to space constraints, max 2 guest registrations per student. Guest registration will close 3 business days in advance of each session. We will not be able to add guests the day of a session. Online orientation does not have a guest option.

Due to the length and format of orientation, it is not recommended that younger siblings attend. Please contact our office if there is a need for a younger sibling to attend. Accommodations will be made if space is available for the date you are registered for. 

Orientation fees cover food and refreshments for in-person, mailings, software and materials for the virtual session, staffing, facility/equipment rentals, paperwork, packaging. Refund requests for all orientation fees must be made by May 1, 2025. There is a $15 processing fee on all refunds

During all orientation formats, students will get a chance to learn about campus and connect with resources to make sure you have a smooth and successful transition.

Please email us at [email protected] and we can help change your session. Please note that freshman session dates may close and we cannot guarantee a registration for a closed session.

Starting in the Summer?


There is not an orientation session requirement for new students starting in the summer. However, we realize you may still have questions about UTC. Don't hesitate to call or email our office. In the meantime, here are a few resources you might find helpful.
