UTC Master of Public Health (MPH) is a professional graduate degree program that focuses on preparing individuals for careers in public health. It is designed to provide students with the knowledge, skills, and competencies needed to address public health challenges and improve the health of communities and populations. Our MPH program offers students the opportunity to choose Chronic Disease Prevention and Control (MPH: CD), and Nutrition and Dietetics (MPH: ND).
Both MPH concentrations are accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) and the MPH MD is also accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND).

What to Expect
- Classes and Program Format
- Depending on the concentration, we offer both full-time and part-time options. All courses are delivered in hybrid or fully online formats to accommodate student needs.
- Field Experience
- Our program requires students to complete fieldwork in public health organizations to gain hands-on experience. This practical training is essential for applying the knowledge and skills learned in the classroom to real-world public health challenges.
- Careers
- Public health professionals with an MPH degree play a vital role in improving community health, preventing disease, and addressing health challenges. Our program prepares graduates for impactful careers in government agencies, non-profits, healthcare systems, and academic organizations. Career paths include epidemiologist, biostatistician, public health analyst, health educator, clinical dietitian, nutrition consultant, project manager and lecturer, each making a meaningful difference in population health.
