MPH Academic Curriculum
The UTC Master in Public Health is a professional training program that is a purposeful mix of classroom-based learning and applied field experiences. Our goal is to provide training essential for working in public health and healthcare settings. Course material is continually reinforced and expanded upon in subsequent classes and applied in different public health settings.
The MPH program consists of 42 semester credit hours and is a non-thesis professional degree program. The program accommodates both traditional and non-traditional students yet ensures graduates attain public health competencies identified by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH), and competencies specific to our concentrations (UTC MPH Competencies).
Our core MPH classes are designed as hybrid and online meetings to enhance interactions and sharing of experiences. Students will have the option to progress through the program as a two-year cohort or as a part-time student over the course of three to four years (based on the concentration). Our program strives to ensure that they receive the highest level of academic and logistical support in graduating in a timely fashion.
