Engaging, standards-aligned space education for early learners in grades K–5. Hamilton County Schools visit free of charge.
Grades K–2: Discovery Station
Young learners board our space-shuttle simulator and travel to Discovery Space Station — where they collect data, solve STEM challenges, and return safely to Earth. Activities include coding, pattern recognition, weights & measures, and fingerprint recognition.

Grades 3rd–5th:
MicroMars
Our Expedition Mars mission adapted for 3rd–5th graders. The year is 2076 — students search for evidence of water on Mars, build a remotely operated vehicle, and monitor crew safety aboard the Mars Transport Vehicle orbiting on Phobos.

Operation Comet Impact - Coming in Fall 2026!
Our Operation Comet mission adapted for 3rd–5th graders. A comet is making a near-Earth transit, presenting a perfect opportunity for observation and data collection. That is - until challenges threaten to derail the mission.

Grades K–2
Micro Rockets
Students construct and launch straw-powered rockets, exploring how angle, power, and straw position affect how far a rocket flies.
Telescope Tech
Students learn about the invention of the telescope and construct their own expanding version. (1st & 2nd grade)
Micronauts to the Moon!
Micronauts learn about the components of a rocket and the shapes that compose them, constructing their own rocket puzzle and blasting off for an orbit around the moon!
NanoSat Geofix
Student engineers learn about satellites, inventory satellite components, and assemble all the parts to construct a model of an actual nanosatellite.
All Grades K–5
These activities have two different versions and are customized for early elementary and late elementary students.
Moon Phases
Students explore the moon cycle and the relative positions of Earth, sun, and moon, learning first hand the power of scientific modeling.
K-2 students engage in a story-based kinesthetic experience culminating in a hands-on science art diagram.
3rd-5th graders engage with numerous varieties of models in a scientific process to fully explain "why the moon looks different each night."
Planet Walk
Students walk among the planets and experience the true scale of our solar system through movement-based learning.
Early learners build an understanding of the epic scale of the solar system and fundamental facts about our cosmic neighborhood.
Older learners get a more in-depth idea about our planetary neighbors and what makes them unique.
Stars!
Young learners journey through four stations exploring how stars and light create the constellations in our night sky. Students create constellations to bring home.
Older learners experience the unique properties of light and investigate what makes our sun special.
Sat Geo
Younger students build a NanoSat and learn about satellite components.
Older students explore satellite geography and learn how satellites observe, map, and monitor our planet from orbit.
3rd Grade and Up
Galileo's Ramp
Students reproduce Galileo's revolutionary falling bodies experiment. Available in a 40-minute short form or extended 2-hour long form for older students.
Pop Rockets
Students design, build, and launch pressurized rockets, analyzing how fuel ratios and design specific affect flight height. Students learn first-hand about Newton's Laws while using graduate cylinders and data tables to take precise measurements.
Robotics Classroom
In this lesson, students will think like robotics engineers and rely upon the science and engineering practices to drive a VEX IQ robot. Students will also have an opportunity to learn the VEX coding language by programming a VEX VR robot. Students will then use their coding language knowledge to code the VEX IQ robot to complete autonomous challenges.
Trouble Ladder (4th+)
Trouble Ladder presents students with a sequence of challenges that will require them to utilize teamwork, time management, and fraction knowledge. Can you cross all of the obstacles before time runs out? Only time will tell!
- Chaperone Policy
We ask that non-student attendants make a voluntary donation of $2 per person payable by QR code at the front desk. Most classrooms accommodate a maximum of 7–8 chaperones. Chaperones should remain attentive and keep technology use outside the learning spaces.
- Rotation Timing
Each rotation requires 40 minutes of teaching time and 5 minutes of transition. Mission + 2 activities = 2 hours 15 min. Mission + 3 activities = 3 hours. Add 30 minutes for lunch.
