The Office of Equal Opportunity and Accessibility (EOA) proactively works to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations, and institutional policies. EOA collaborates with and supports units across the UTC campus and UT System to promote institutional accountability and promote the highest ethical and professional standards of conduct among members of the campus community.
EOA advances its mission of Cultivating a Culture of Compliance with Care through:
- Coordinating workplace disability, pregnancy, and religious accommodations
- Addressing and responding to concerns relating to discrimination and harassment
- Conducting fair and impartial reviews and investigations of discrimination complaints based on protected characteristics such as age, color, disability, gender, national origin, race, religion, sex (including sexual harassment and pregnancy), and veteran status
- Developing and providing targeted trainings for faculty, staff, and students
- Coordinating professional development opportunities for members of the campus community
