Bachelor of Science in Applied Math: STEM Education
The Department of Mathematics offers the Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics with a concentration in STEM Education for those students wishing to teach Mathematics at the high school level.
A student wishing to earn a B.S. in Applied Mathematics: STEM Education must complete the following:
- Complete all General Education requirements
- Complete all Major and Related Coursework with a 2.0 GPA in all major and related courses, a 2.0 GPA in all 3000 & 4000-level Math courses and at least 39 hours in the 3000 & 4000 level courses.
- Meet all licensure requirements: A cumulative GPA of 2.5, a 2.5 GPA in all UTC coursework, a 2.5 GPA in all STEM coursework with no grade lower than a C, and a 2.5 GPA in licensure content courses with no grade lower than C.
