Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics: General Mathematics
A student wishing to earn a B.S. in Applied Mathematics: General Mathematics must complete the following:
- Complete all General Education requirements
- Complete all Major and Related Coursework with a 2.0 GPA in all major and related courses, a 2.0 GPA in all 3000 & 4000-level Math courses and at least 39 hours in the 3000 & 4000 level Mathematics courses.

- ENGL 2820 - Scientific Writing
- MATH 1950 - Calculus with Analytic Geometry I*
- MATH 1960 - Calculus with Analytic Geometry II
- MATH 2200 - Elementary Linear Algebra
- MATH 2450 - Introduction to Differential and Difference Equations
- MATH 2560 - Calculus with Analytic Geometry III
- MATH 3000 - Introduction to Logic and Proof
- MATH 3510 - Introduction to Analysis I
One course from:
- THSP 1090 - Public Speaking
- THSP 2090 - Business and Professional Speech Communication
General Mathematics Concentration Requirements:
- MATH 3250 - Introduction to Modern Algebra or
- MATH 4200 - Linear Algebra and Matrix Theory
AND
A.
- MATH 3100 - Applied Statistics*
- 12 additional hours in Mathematics at the 3000-4000 level
- MATH 4130 - Introduction to Probability and Statistics*
- MATH 4140 - Mathematical Statistics
- 9 additional hour in Mathematics at the 3000-4000 level excluding Mathematics 3100
