University Health Services

About Us

We're here to provide optimum health care to every student, faculty and staff at UTC.

Our staff of nurse practitioners provide services including visits for acute and chronic illnesses, physical exams, screenings, immunizations, lab services, TB skin testing and allergy shots.

Students are not charged for office visits. Minimal fees for services such as laboratory tests and immunizations may apply. Office appointments are strongly encouraged.

We also encourage all students to carry personal health insurance, either through your family health plan or by enrolling in the UT Student Health Insurance Program, an affordable health care coverage plan.

Let us know if you need any type of accommodations before or during your appointment and we'll do our best to provide you with proper access to all of our services.

In an effort to support initiatives to maintain social distancing and decrease congregating in groups, University Health Services will function remotely by taking calls and serving student medical needs in a different format than in person.

If you have immunization issues, health concerns, need to be seen by a provider, or have any other clinic-related questions, please call us at 423-425-2266 Monday - Friday
between the hours of 9 AM - 5 PM.

If you are experiencing an urgent or emergent medical event, please call 9-1-1 or go to your nearest emergency room.

During the time that face to face instruction is suspended, physical therapy services and sexually transmitted infection screenings from CEMPA are both unavailable. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

If you are experiencing fever, cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, or think you may have been exposed to COVID-19, please tell the attendant these details when you call.
