Welcome to Student Health Services... Where STUDENTS come first!
UTC Student Health Services is one of the many resources UTC provides to help support students’ experiences while attending our university. Thank you for allowing SHS to serve you for your medical needs. It is our privilege to be a part of your health care team. The information contained here provides a guide on how we can assist you.
-About Student Health Services
The staff of Student Health Services (SHS) seeks to give every student, faculty and staff member optimum healthcare. Services include visits for acute and chronic illnesses, physical exams, screenings, immunizations, lab services, TB skin testing, and allergy shots.
SHS is located in Room 205, Maclellan Gymnasium, in the center of campus. The entrance to SHS is directly across from the University Center.
Student Health Services is staffed by nurse practitioners and provides health services to students, faculty, and staff. Students will not be charged for office visits, and will incur minimal charges for services such as laboratory tests and immunizations. Office appointments are strongly encouraged.
We also encourage all students to carry personal health insurance, either through their family health plan or by enrolling in the UT Student Health Insurance Program, an affordable health care coverage plan.
The mission of UTC SHS is to deliver high quality healthcare that is holistic in nature and easily accessible for all UTC students. We are committed to meeting the health service needs of our diverse student population while treating each individual with dignity. Delivery of care will be a collaboration between the health care provider and patient-one that is built on trust and mutual understanding.
If you need any type of accommodations before or during your appointment, please notify our staff so we can attempt to ensure proper access to all of our services.
