Policy on Visitors Engaged in Research
The University of Tennessee Policy on Visitors Engaged in Research seeks to financially, legally and reputationally protect the university by identifying and monitoring visitors who are conducting research in university laboratories and research facilities. The policy helps ensure that visiting researchers are held to the same standards that apply to university employees and students.
To determine whether the policy applies, consult the decision tree below. Each visitor to whom the policy applies must have a UTC sponsor. With guidance from the sponsor, visitors to whom the policy applies must submit a visitor information packet at least 30 days prior to the visitor arriving at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
Below are links to additional resources and the Visitor Information Packet. For further information regarding this policy and related procedures, contact the Office of Research Integrity.
