B-HIP Traineeship Applications
The B-HIP Traineeship Program is designed to support students during their internship year with a financial award of $25,000, distributed over the academic year for which they are applying. Students are encouraged to consult with the designated B-HIP faculty team to discuss eligibility requirements in greater detail.
Students interested in applying for the B-HIP Traineeship should submit their application using the portal linked below. Please note that all the following materials are required for your application to be considered complete:
- Online application form (forthcoming)
- Copy of academic transcripts
- Student Commitment Letter
- A brief essay (maximum 3 pages) describing:
- Your personal background
- Your commitment to serving children, adolescents, and/or young adults
- Your motivation for working in medically underserved communities
- The potential impact of this traineeship on your future career goals
Certification of completion of all cohort-specific digital learning modules (forthcoming in Year 2)
Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.
Students will be notified of their acceptance into the B-HIP Traineeship Program during the summer preceding their internship year.
As outlined in the Student Commitment Letter, all accepted applicants are required to meet with representatives from UTC’s Financial Aid and Bursar’s offices to review the potential impact of traineeship funding on other forms of financial assistance.
