Mission Statement
The Behavioral Healthcare through InterProfessional Training (B-HIP) program at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga is dedicated to expanding and strengthening the behavioral health workforce in the underserved Appalachian region of southeast Tennessee. Through deep collaboration with community partners and interprofessional training across School Psychology, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, School Counseling, and Social Work, B-HIP prepares a diverse, skilled workforce to meet the urgent mental health needs of children, adolescents, and young adults. Our mission is to deliver sustainable, team-based, and community-informed care that addresses critical disparities and promotes long-term well-being in our region.
