It is an exciting time for the field of nutrition and dietetics! Both the number and variety of job prospects for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) is expanding.

The MPH ND Application Review Committee will conduct an admission review of all applicants who apply before February 15th (Round 1).

Review of applicants will be completed within 30 days of application due date (round 1).

During this review process, applicants will be either: admitted into the program, admitted into the program with condition, or denied admissions to the program.
If any admission slots remain open after the Round 1 admission review, the ND Application Review Committee will conduct an additional round of admission review of all applicants who apply:
- February 16th - April 30th for Round 2 (if needed)

Program Description
Mission
The MPH: ND program prepares graduates for reflective practice as registered dietitian nutritionists in a variety of diverse settings, through scholarly work, public health leadership, and experiential learning in community nutrition, clinical nutrition, and food systems management.
Goals
Goal #1: The program will prepare graduates who are reflective practitioners as entry-level masters-prepared registered dietitian nutritionists with an MPH degree with a concentration in Nutrition and Dietetics.
Objectives
- At least 80% of program students complete program requirements within 3 years (150% of the program length)
- Of graduates who seek employment, at least 50% are employed in nutrition and dietetics or related fields within 12 months of graduation
- At least 50% of program graduates take the CDR credentialing exam for dietitian nutritionists within 12 months of program completion
- The program’s one-year pass rate (graduates who pass the registration exam within one year of first attempt) on the CDR credentialing exam for dietitian nutritionists is at least 80%
- At least 50% of employers will rate the program graduates as meets or exceeds expectations for entry-level practice
Goal #2: Students will participate in activities that are inclusive of a variety of populations from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and ideas.
- At least 50% of students will report participating in activities that were inclusive of a variety of populations during their program of study.
Accreditation Status
The Future Education Model (FEM) curriculum is designed in accordance with Accreditation Standards for Graduate Degree Programs in Nutrition and Dietetics (GP) (7 domains/37 competencies) and the Council on Education for Public Health (8 domains/22 competencies).
The program prepares students to take the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) credentialing examination to become a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN).
The Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) is the accrediting agency for education programs preparing students for careers as RDN.

ACEND accepted UTC Master of Public Health in Nutrition and Dietetics as a demonstration program for candidacy for accreditation under the newly released Future Education Model Standards for Graduate Programs in Nutrition and Dietetics (see www.eatrightpro.org/FutureModel). These accreditation standards integrate didactic coursework with supervised experiential learning in a competency‐based curriculum designed to prepare nutrition and dietetics practitioners for future practice.
