Arts-Based Collaborative Programs
The Arts-Based Collaborative transforms education in and through arts on campus and across surrounding counties. Click here for more information about Arts-Based Collaborative and who we serve.

Education in the Arts is the heart of what we do at Arts-Based Collaborative and increasing access to arts learning experiences begins with teachers. We embrace teachers as change agents and facilitate professional learning programs that provide ongoing support and mentorship. We intentionally design our annual programs so that we are able to work closely with small cohorts of teachers. Together we dig deep in arts-based practice, explore unit ideas, and create new learning opportunities. Come grow with us!
Arts-Based Collaborative Programs for UTC Students

In 2015, Arts-Based Collaborative became the bridge between the arts departments and the school of education at UTC. This bridge helps us streamline support and services for all UTC students pursuing K-12 licensure in theatre, instrumental music, vocal music, and visual art. Arts-Based Collaborative directors serve as advisors and mentors to all fine arts teacher candidates, facilitate experiential learning opportunities, teach methodology courses, and assist with successful completion of UTC School of Education Undergraduate Checkpoints including the edTPA subject-specific assessment.
