Leadership and Decision-Making Academic Probation Policy
A participant (or candidate) may be placed on academic probation if any of the following conditions are met:
- the cumulative program GPA falls below 3.0
- the participant fails to complete degree requirements in a timely manner or receives an excessive number of Incomplete (I/IP), NC, or NP grades
- the participant violates professional or ethical Codes of Conduct (link: Codes of Conduct)
- the participant fails to demonstrate mastery of essential professional skills/behavior/fitness
A participant (or candidate) may be dismissed if any of the following conditions are met:
- the participant fails to achieve the 3.0 cumulative program GPA within the two semester probation or s/he fails to achieve a 3.0 or higher cumulative program GPA during either probationary semester
- the participant receives more than two grades below a B or a grade of U, D, or F in any course
- the participant fails to pass the Comprehensive Assessment or has received an unsatisfactory evaluation of the Dissertation or Final Dissertation Defense
- the participant fails to complete degree requirements in a timely manner or receives an excessive number of Incomplete (I/IP), NC, or NP grades
- the participant violates professional or ethical Codes of Conduct (link: Codes of Conduct)
- the participant fails to demonstrate mastery of essential professional skills/behavior/fitness
