Physical
Physical wellness is comprised of many necessary attributes to be successful, such as, exercise, nutrition, and sleep. Each of these can be attained in various ways and opportunities with exercise either being social or solitary.
Recreational Facilities
Membership fee includes use of an indoor track, rock climbing tower, exercise equipment, and more. Contact the Aquatic and Recreation Center (ARC) to join.
Social
Social wellness involves establishing connections and positive interpersonal relationships to better one’s overall personal wellness. UTC has a diverse campus with many opportunities to learn about various cultures and ethnicities while enhancing interpersonal connections.


Emotional
Emotional wellness is a lifelong learning process of turning stressful life circumstances into positivity. It involves insight and introspection along with the ability to navigate relationships and complex personalities.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
Employees and their eligible dependents, regardless of whether they participate in the Group Insurance Program, who may be experiencing personal or work place problems may access the Employee Assistance Program (EAP). EAP services are provided at no cost and all services are strictly confidential and can be accessed 24 hours a day, seven days a week, at 1-855-HERE4TN (1-855-437-3486). The EAP can help with issues such as family and relationships; child and elder care; anxiety and depression; workplace conflicts; dealing with addiction; suicide prevention; grief and loss; legal and financial issues; work/life balance.
Individuals receive up to 5 (five) free counseling sessions per episode at no cost to the participant; however, sessions must be pre-authorized by calling phoning 1-855-HERE4TN (1-855-437-3486).

Creating financial wellness today provides foundational decisions for a fiscally healthier tomorrow. UTC provides many resources for you to achieve your financial goals.


Career
Career wellness is essential to challenge the mind, invite creativity, and refer to our ability to feel fulfilled with our jobs and chosen career paths, without sacrificing the work-life balance; it is about being involved in work activities that allow you to show your talents and skill set.
Community
Community wellness is unique to every person. For some this may involve philanthropic, spiritual, or environmental sustainability practices that all take conscious effort and knowledge. These resources provide opportunities for greater interconnectedness with the community.
