Homecoming Court 2023
Students at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga are invited to apply for the 2023 Homecoming Court. The Homecoming Court is designed to represent the best of the best student leaders at the institution. Members of the Court should represent the values and mission of the institution. Interested individuals should have demonstrated academic excellence, on-campus involvement, and involvement in the local Chattanooga community.
Applications open: Monday, August 21, 2023 at 9 AM
Applications close: Friday, September 8, 2023 at 12 PM
2 Recommendation Forms Due: Friday, September 8, 2023 at 12 PM

References
Two References identified by the applicant will receive a link to fill out the recommendation form. Recommendation forms are due on Friday, September 8th at 12PM. A student’s application for Homecoming Court will not be complete without both completed recommendation forms.
Interviews
After the application review, the top 10 candidates for Homecoming King and top 10 candidates for Homecoming Queen will receive an invitation for a virtual interview. Interviews will be held on September 18th – 22nd via Zoom.
*Homecoming King and Queen finalists will be determined by their application scores based on Community Service, Campus & Organization Leadership Roles, Student Involvement, Personal & Professional Development, Awards & Recognition, and References*
Homecoming Court Announcement
After the interviews have been completed, the top 5 candidates for Homecoming King and top 5 candidates for Homecoming Queen will be selected for the 2023 Homecoming Court; and announced during Homecoming Kickoff on Monday, October 2nd.
Voting
After the announcement of the 2023 Homecoming Court, the UTC student body will vote for their top candidates for both King and Queen through an online form via MocSync. Voting will begin Tuesday, October 3 at 9AM. Voting will close Friday, October 6 at 12PM
Homecoming King/Queen Announcement
The announcement of Homecoming King and Queen will take place at halftime of the Homecoming game vs. Western Carolina on Saturday, October 7th.
Scoring Breakdown
The following list outlines the percentage that each individual part of the process will count towards their overall score. The overall score is used to determine the 2023 Homecoming King and Queen. The judging criteria is listed below. Judges include UTC Faculty and Staff members. .
- Application - 25%
- Interview - 50%
- Student Body Vote - 25%
