Andrew L. Urich has been teaching at Oklahoma State University since 1986. He is currently an associate professor of management and the Director of Student Development in the Eastin Center for Talent Development. His experience teaching business, law, and critical thinking to university students is not limited to the US. He served as a member of the Executive MBA faculty at Zayed University in Abu Dhabi and Dubai from 2004 until 2012. He was also a member of the OSU-Kyoto faculty in Kyoto, Japan from 1992-93.
Professor Urich is fascinated with human nature and uses quick wit and humor to help audiences make significant improvements in their ability to influence and manage others. Urich's presentations are filled with creative stories and real world illustrations. They have been described as "hilarious, riveting, insightful, entertaining, and thought provoking." In over 20 year of experience as a successful speaker, he has brought life to nearly 2,000 corporate training presentations and conventions. A gifted communicator, Andrew has presented to such notable clients as Conoco, Chesapeake Energy, Bank of Oklahoma, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Edison Electric Institute, Phillips 66, Tyson Foods, Cox Communications, Halliburton and the United States Air Force.
While away from his students, Andrew enjoys adventure travel to far-flung regions of the world. His adventures have led him to over 50 countries and he has climbed mountains in South America, Central America, Asia, and Africa's Kilimanjaro. When not traveling, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Tara, and three "little associates", Anson, Truman and Theodore.
