Continuous Enrollment
Due to enrollment pressures and facilities limitations, the UTC Department of Art maintains the following continuous enrollment policy for upper-division BFA students: “Students who successfully pass Portfolio Review must maintain continuous enrollment. Otherwise the department cannot guarantee reentry into the program. A reassessment of the student’s portfolio will be required for consideration of readmission.”
Statistics indicate that even temporary withdrawal from an academic institution significantly diminishes the likelihood of degree completion. The Department of Art is committed to working with all students—BA and BFA majors, as well as Art History minors—to find solutions that ensure their continued enrollment in a program that is safe and academically fulfilling.
