The Community Engagement Minor is an interdisciplinary program designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills that enable them to solve the problems facing their community. Using a blended theoretical and practical framework, this innovative hands-on approach to service learning emphasizes practical experience, civic responsibility, and real-world application to address community problems.

Program Information
The community engagement minor is an interdisciplinary minor consisting of 18/19 credit hours. The program consists of 7 hours of core courses Beyond the core courses, students take an additional 3 hours in internship and an additional 8/9 hours in approved courses for the minor.

While many of our minors will explore a variety of careers from social work to engineering, our goal is to create lifelong community advocates that will give back to their community.
