Instructions
The department of Chemistry and Physics is glad that you are interested in an internship for credit. To request approval of a new internship (as opposed to existing opportunities) please write a brief proposal including the following:
In order to qualify for an internship, you need to have completed at least 30 credits of college-level coursework. Chemistry majors need to have completed CHEM 3210/L Quantitative Analysis with lab.
There are three steps for the internship for credit process in our department.
- The first is to establish the internship site, using the webform below.
- The second is to formalize the internship agreement with the attached letter, which the student, site supervisor and UTC faculty advisor sign.
- Then the student will be authorized to register for CHEM/PHYS 3900r with their UTC faculty internship advisor.
Please contact Dr. Craig Philipp ([email protected] or 423-425-4523) for the Chemistry and Physics internship program.
