Welcome to the home page of the UTC Chemistry Club/Student Affiliates of the American Chemical Society.
Purpose of the Club:
Serve the university, the department, and the local community to promote chemistry in life.
Exchange information with faculty and colleagues.
Participate in the various UTC and departmental various activities.
Participate in the activities at local schools and the Creative Discovery Museum offering hands-on activity every year.
Are well-informed with professional school and graduate school opportunities.
Present a poster at a National and/or Regional American Chemical Society Meeting discussing research activities.

How to become a member
Membership in the National American Chemical Society is encouraged but not required. The cost of a student member of the National ACS is $25. Membership in the National ACS allows you to:
- Attend National meetings (held in places such as San Francisco and Washington, D.C.)
- Use ACS Career Services - information and a job search engine only available to ACS members
- Access ACS journals and magazines
- Learn about opportunities to help spread chemical awareness in your community
- Learn about what Chemists do in the real world
