We will enjoy a lunch in the Walker Center following the tour.

Faculty Bus Tour

The second annual faculty bus tour will explore the educational possibilities of Chattanooga to encourage incorporating our place in the UTC classroom. Speakers and locations will address the history and future of Chattanooga and how other faculty have leveraged place and community in their teaching. Both new and returning faculty are invited to register below. Food will be provided. Seating is limited to 50.

Canvas Boot Camp

Let's get back to basics with your Canvas LMS.  Each session is 45-minutes in length and offered on Zoom.  The sessions will focus on the following topics:

9:00 am or 1:00 pm – Building and Editing Your Canvas Course
10:00 am or 2:00 pm – Online Assignments and Grading
11:00 am or 3:00 pm – Online Exams: Classic and New Quizzes

Learning Technologies Fair

Let’s explore some of the learning technologies available on campus and how they can enhance your courses. These sessions will focus on tools that support engagement, academic integrity, and thoughtful course design. Each session is 45-minutes in length and offered on Zoom. Featured tools include:

9:00 am or 1:00 pm – Response Systems (Kahoot and Poll Everywhere)
10:00 am or 2:00 pm – Academic Integrity (Proctorio and Turnitin)
11:00 am or 3:00 pm – Designing Tools (H5P and DesignPlus)

AI Workshops

Let’s get practical about generative AI in your teaching. Today’s sessions will focus on identifying what belongs in an Acceptable Use Policy for your syllabus, exploring Sarah Eaton’s Six Tenets of Postplagiarism, and conducting a faculty roundtable on classroom integration of AI. We’ll finish with a quick session on one efficient way to address student use of AI tools in Canvas quizzes. Each session is 45-minutes in length and offered on Zoom.
