Faculty Fellows in Community Practice
The Faculty Fellows in Community Practice program enables select faculty members to hone their leadership skills as they facilitate programs which impact the conversation about pedagogy and the academic life at UTC.
WCTL is currently supporting three Faculty Fellows in Community Practice for 2023-2024.
- Dr. Julia Cummiskey, History, facilitates the Race, Science, Technology working group as the Faculty Fellow working group considers both the issues and fleshes out a future symposium at UTC on the topic.
- Dr. Jessica Taylor, Learning and Leadership, supports the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SOTL) by working with faculty members in the Faculty Fellows in Teaching Innovation group to grow in their knowledge of the research basis for current innovative pedagogies and support their writing on their own teaching practices.
- Dr. Lori Waite, Social, Cultural, and Justice Studies (Sociology), engages the campus through book clubs devoted to the question of Academic Freedom.
