Program & Curriculum Proposals
At UTC, the faculty and the academic administration share responsibility for the careful cultivation of curriculum. As disciplines change over time, the faculty may propose new degree programs and courses to offer students expanded alternatives for study. Likewise, courses or even degrees may be eliminated or changed. Faculty may submit proposals to change the curriculum which then must be considered by the department, college, Faculty Senate, and Academic Affairs before implementation. As needed, THEC and SACSCOC may require review and/or approval.
Submission Process
Academic program and curriculum proposals must be submitted using the Curriculog software. To request a Curriculog account, please email [email protected]. Below is a summary of the current administrative practices relative to who has access to the systems and the approval levels.

Undergraduate Curriculum Committee meeting dates and times will be announced by the campus at least 72 hours prior to the meeting.
Note: Faculty Senate limits the use of provisional courses listed under the 1999r, 2999r, 3999r, or 4999r numbers. Departments may offer these provisional courses no more than two times in a five-year period after which a new course proposal should be submitted for approval.
