Kanika Sharma
Kanika Sharma is visiting CUIP, UTC as a visiting researcher for the NGI Explorer program. The program selects researchers and innovators to collaborate with universities in the US for a five-month project to use the expertise in the universities to accelerate their research. The proposal aims to leverage closely moving vehicles in urban centers as an Internet of Vehicles system by orchestrating the available resources to deploy data collection and video crowdsensing applications. She is currently a Ph.D. scholar at the Waterford Institute of Technology, Ireland.
Cristina del Real
Visiting from the University of Cádiz for 6 months in 2018
Cristina del Real is studying a joint supervised PhD program between the University of Cádiz (Spain) and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (USA) in Social Sciences. Her research focuses on the deployment of people-centric approach in the design of smart cities. She is currently working on the analysis of stakeholders' expectations, needs and threats perceived on smart city projects in USA and Spain. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Criminology from the University of Seville in 2015, and her M.A. in Criminal Justice and Safety Studies from the University of Cádiz in 2016.
