Dr. Edwards came to UTC in 1991. His teaching and research interests focus on public administration, local government management, and the definition of local jurisdictional boundaries. In addition to his faculty role at UTC, Dr. Edwards serves as City Manager for Lakesite, Tennessee, a position he has held for more than twenty years.
Prior to joining the UTC faculty, Dr. Edwards worked with the University of Georgia Cooperative Extension Service as a County Agent, a County Extension Director, and a member of the state extension staff. He also served as a research assistant with the Carl Vinson Institute of Government at UGA.
