IARC 1000 - Design Fundamentals
(3) Credit Hours
A study of design as related to the individual and his or her environment; review of the basic theories including the elements and principles of design with emphasis on using design to solve utilitarian as well as aesthetic problems. Studio 5 hours. Laboratory/studio course fee will be assessed.
IARC 1050 - Volume, Space, & Form
(3) Credit Hours
Develop techniques of volumetric study providing emphasis on design ideation through sketching and models. Studio 5 hours. Laboratory/Studio course fees will be assessed.
IARC 1100 - Architectural Drafting
(3) Credit Hours
An introduction to architectural drafting including the study of symbols and drafting techniques necessary to the understanding and drawing of architectural plans. Studio 5 hours. Laboratory/studio course fee will be assessed.
IARC 1150 - Color Systems
(3) Credit Hours
Experimentation in color systems and their use in interior design; analysis of psychological impact of color systems on people; correlation of color scheme to total room design; development of skills for various media and tools used in color planning. Studio 5 hours. Laboratory/studio course fee will be assessed.
