The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga is a primary campus of the University of Tennessee located in urban Chattanooga. The University has a current enrollment of more than 10,000 students who are enrolled in a wide diversity of undergraduate and graduate programs. The School of Nursing is one of seven departments in the College of Health, Education and Professional Studies and reports to the Dean of the College.
POSITION: Assistant Professor
EFFECTIVE DATE: August 1, 2013 (or successful candidate's availability). This is a twelve-month, full-time, tenure-track appointment.
RESPONSIBILITIES: This is a newly created position in which the successful candidate will teach courses in both the Family Nurse Practitioner and the Doctor of Nursing Practice Concentrations. This candidate will have a record of teaching in the university setting, and an active program of research. Experience teaching in an online program is preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate will hold a Master's degree in Nursing as either a Family or Adult Nurse Practitioner with national certification and licensure in the state of Tennessee and a Doctor of Nursing Practice or PhD in Nursing or a related field.
