Master of Accountancy

The Gary W. Rollins College of Business at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga offers four AACSB-accredited graduate degrees and one certificate: the Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Accountancy (MAcc), Master of Science in Data Analytics (MSDA), Master of Science in Management (MSM) and a Graduate Certificate in Business Analytics.

Yes. All graduate degrees at the Rollins College of Business are accredited by AACSB International — the highest standard in business education, held by fewer than 6% of business schools worldwide. UTC's programs are the only AACSB-accredited graduate business degrees in the Chattanooga region.

Yes. Graduate school is an investment and UTC has resources to help make grad school manageable.
- Can I complete a UTC graduate degree while working full time?
Yes. Our programs are designed specifically for working professionals, with evening classes in the Chattanooga area. Online class formats allow you to complete coursework on your own schedule from anywhere, while meeting weekly classwork deadlines.
- Do I need a business degree to apply to UTC's graduate business programs?
The MBA, MSM, MSDA, MAcc: Executive and graduate certificate in business analytics welcome students from any undergraduate background. The MAcc: Forensic Data Analytics, MAcc: Professional and MBA: Accounting requires an undergraduate degree in accounting or a related field. Check individual program admissions pages for specifics.
- How long does it take to complete a UTC graduate business program?
Program length varies depending on whether you’re taking full-time or part-time course loads. The MBA and MSDA typically take around 18 months for full-time students. The MAcc and MSM can be completed in one year as a full-time student. The Graduate Certificate can be completed in as little as two semesters. Undergraduate students may be eligible to fast-track graduate timelines through the JUMP program.
