The RCOB JUMP Program
Gary W. Rollins College of Business
Grad school is possible with JUMP
The Joint Undergraduate to Master’s Program is a great opportunity to complete up to nine credit hours of graduate courses to count towards both your undergraduate and graduate degrees*.
If you’re an undergraduate student considering a graduate degree from UTC, the Gary W. Rollins College of Business will offer two options for JUMP beginning fall 2026:
Accounting
BSBA in Accounting Master of Accountancy
Advance from your BSBA in Accounting directly into UTC's Master of Accountancy program, building the credentials you need for CPA licensure and beyond.

ACC 5110 Taxation of Corporations and Partnerships
ACC 5521 Forensic Accounting & Fraud Examination

How it works
Let your undergraduate academic advisor know you’re interested in JUMP.
If you’re eligible, your academic advisor will connect you with the RCOB’s graduate recruitment coordinator to determine needed courses.
After meeting with the RCOB graduate recruitment coordinator, visit the admissions portal to apply. Applications for Fall 2026 open on June 1, 2026.
Choose “other applications” and select “JUMP” from the dropdown menu.
Click your current major and your desired JUMP major.
Enter up to three graduate courses you intend to take, including the department and course number (see below).
Once approved for admission, your degree track will be updated in MyMocsDegree and you’ll be able to register for the approved classes during the registration period by coordinating with the MAcc or MSDA graduate coordinator.**
- Do I need to be within 30 hours of bachelor’s degree completion and have a minimum 3.25 overall GPA when I apply and/or when I start JUMP courses?
Yes. Your credit hour completion and overall GPA will be checked after the JUMP application is submitted and then again prior to the start of each JUMP semester. JUMP students who don’t maintain the program’s eligibility requirements, will have their majors changed back to their prior major (e.g. accounting, business analytics) and any JUMP courses they registered for will be dropped. Then, they will need to register for any equivalent undergraduate courses.
- I expect my overall GPA to be a 3.25 after this semester. Can I apply now for JUMP even if my GPA is lower than the requirement?
Your application will not be reviewed by the application committee unless you meet this requirement. We recommend you wait until you meet the 3.25 minimum overall GPA requirement to apply to the JUMP program.
- How can I make changes to my JUMP courses?
First, visit with your undergraduate advisor to learn how any changes to your JUMP courses will affect the completion of your undergraduate degree. If you are receiving financial aid/scholarships, check with the Mocs One Center to see if this will be impacted by any changes.
- Do I have to earn a certain course grade for my JUMP credits to apply to my future graduate degree?
Graduate coursework successfully completed with a “B” or better will apply to the graduate degree. If you do not receive a B or higher, your course may still apply to your undergraduate degree if it meets expectations.
- When can I apply to the JUMP?
Applications to JUMP may be submitted online in the second semester of their junior year. With the approval of the JUMP admissions committee, the student will be admitted to the JUMP and start taking JUMP coursework in the senior year when they are within 30 hours of bachelor’s degree completion.
- Will I have to apply to graduate school, and am I guaranteed admission?
Yes. If you plan to complete a master’s degree related to your JUMP, you’ll have to apply through the standard graduate admissions process on the UTC application portal. However, you do not apply to graduate school to be admitted to the JUMP program and take JUMP courses.
Upon completion of the undergraduate degree, meeting graduate continuation standards, and completing an application to the Graduate School, the student’s level and admission status will be changed from undergraduate to graduate.
- Will I still be able to walk with the other RCOB undergraduate students during the UTC commencement ceremony if I participate in JUMP?
Yes. Assuming you meet the graduation requirements for your undergraduate degree, you’ll be able to walk during the UTC commencement ceremony.
- Can I transfer my graduate credit hours to a different graduate program at UTC?
No. JUMP credit hours will only transfer into the program you indicated when you applied to JUMP. Assuming the grade expectations are met, credits taken as a BSBA: Accounting student will transfer to a MAcc degree at UTC; credits taken as a BSBA: Business Analytics student will transfer to an MSDA at UTC.
Credits are not guaranteed to transfer to other universities.
- How long will my graduate credits remain active?
Completed graduate-level credits expire after six years and can no longer be used to meet graduate degree requirements. To ensure that you can apply all your JUMP courses towards your master’s degree, you must complete your MAcc or MSDA within 6 years of taking your first JUMP course.
*Student must be accepted into a JUMP program. Student must meet grade requirements for the course to count. Credits may not transfer to master’s programs outside UTC.
**Applications for fall 2026 open on June 1, 2026. If you’re accepted into JUMP, the MAcc or MSDA graduate coordinator will let you know when you are able to register for approved fall 2026 JUMP courses and drop any of your undergraduate courses.
