MOCS Card Terms and Conditions

Use of the MOCS Card

You agree to use the MOCS Card for identification purposes only or for the purchase of or access to goods and services to which you are entitled as a University of Tennessee at Chattanooga student, staff, or faculty. No other person is permitted to use this card for purchases, identification, or for any other reason. The card and its rights and privileges are not transferable and are governed by all University of Tennessee at Chattanooga rules and regulations. When requested, the card must be submitted to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Administration for identification or other investigative procedures.

Liability

You are responsible for all charges or transactions billed or accessed by the MOCS Card and any of the various accounts as part of the MOCS Card system.

Lost or Stolen Cards

You agree to notify the MOCS Card Office immediately if your card is lost or stolen. To mark your card lost, log into GET  to avoid any unauthorized usage. If a card is found please call the ID office at 423-425-2218 or mail it to Mocs Card Office 615 McCallie Ave, Dept. 3964, Chattanooga, TN, 37403. To replace a lost or stolen card, a $30.00 replacement fee must first be paid to the bursar office before a replacement card can be printed.

Ownership of Cards

The MOCS Card remains the property of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and is governed by all its rules and regulations. Upon withdrawal, graduation, or termination from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, the card must be surrendered upon request.

MOCS Card Scrappy Cash Account

Scrappy Cash is a voluntary fund deposited to your MOCS Card at any time for any amount. These funds stay on your card until used (Scrappy Cash does not expire). To add and manage funds, use the GET link. Access issues and account questions should be directed to [email protected] or by calling 423-425-5819.

MOCS Card accounts may be cancelled upon withdrawal, graduation, or termination from the university. A full refund of the Scrappy Cash account balance less a $15.00 service fee will be made.

Disputes involving use of your MOCS Card account with off campus merchants must be filed no later than sixty days after the date of the transaction which is in dispute.

For Students:

• The balance in the account will carry over from term to term until you graduate or are no longer enrolled at the university. If you withdraw from school, any balance may be refunded for a $15.00 service fee providing a written request is received within thirty days following the date of official withdrawal.
• If you are not enrolled as a student and your account remains inactive for twelve months, a service fee of the lesser of $15.00 or the card balance will be incurred for closing the account on funds that are not paid with financial aid. The service fee will be no more than $15.00. All funds remaining after the service fee, including unclaimed financial aid, will be transferred to the state of Tennessee as abandoned property after the due diligence effort has occurred.
• Refunds do not include any meal plan MOCS Bucks or unused meal plan board meals provided by Dining Services.
