EXPAND TN Advanced Manufacturing Program
Explore a Career in Advanced Manufacturing

EXPAND TN is an experiential learning program funded by the National Science Foundation. This program provides high school students from rural southeast Tennessee with the opportunity to explore a career in advanced manufacturing.
By completing this application, you will be under consideration for the 2025-2026 EXPAND TN scholar cohort. If selected, you will participate in a paid rotational job shadow in Summer 2025 and also receive partial scholarship support to pursue an engineering or technology degree at Cleveland State Community College or UT Chattanooga in 2025-2026.
The rotational job shadow will start in late May and run through early July. Participants in the program will receive compensation in the amount of $7,000 (this includes a stipend as well as additional funds for meals and travel). Program participants must enroll in an engineering or technology degree program at CSCC or UTC in 2025-2026 to be eligible for an additional $6,000 partial scholarship.
Applications for the Summer 2025 program are now open.
