| Community Listening Sessions | Early November | WittKieffer meet with community members to gather input for the creation of the leadership profile. | ||
| Leadership Profile submitted | Mid-November | WittKieffer submits draft leadership profile and advertisement for input and approval from the Search Committee. | ||
| Leadership Profile and Ad Approval | End of November | Leadership profile and advertisement review and approved by the Provost. | ||
| Recruitment and Candidate | Early December – Early February | Aggressive, active national recruiting; screening, and interviewing of candidates by WittKieffer. Proposed Application Deadline: January 29th. | ||
| Search Update Meeting | January 9th | WittKieffer provides an update on the search and prepares the committee for the candidate review meeting. | ||
| Candidate Review Meeting | February 5th 2pm – 5pm ET | The Search Committee and WittKieffer meet to review candidates and identify semi-finalists for semi-finalist interviews. Proposed Date to Open Workzone: January 30th | ||
| Semi-Finalist interviews | February 21st & 22nd | WittKieffer prepares the Search Committee for semi-finalist interviews and assists with selection of finalists for final round interviews. Educational and employment verification and media checks conducted. | ||
| Finalist Interviews | Early March | In person finalist interviews with select groups of campus constituents. References conducted by WittKieffer. | ||
| Final Committee Debrief | Mid or end of March | Search committee meets to debrief each finalist. Shared feedback with Provost. Candidate of choice identified by Provost. Final due diligence conducted by institution and WittKieffer. | ||
| Finalist Selection and Negotiations | March/April | Provost extends an offer. WittKieffer can advise and/or assist with negotiations as needed. | ||
