Yes. If you cannot pay out of pocket, we strongly recommend taking advantage of financial aid.

Yes! Choose from the following options:

Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA): WIOA funding covers the entire cost of the Academy program for individuals who qualify. If interested, you will need to reach out to the closest WIOA coordinator to meet and determine eligibility. Learn more about WIOA →

You can register on our website or by calling 423-425-4344.
- Is enrollment into UTC required?

No.
Format
- Is the class online?

Yes. The program can be completed online in less than 5 months.
- Do I have to come to campus for any reason?

No.
- Do I have to log in online at any certain time?

No. The program does not have any mandatory meeting times. You will have weekly assignments that you complete online in order to stay on track. An instructor will be available to ask questions and will hold optional Zoom sessions throughout the course as additional support.
Certification Exam
- When do I sit for the certification exam?

You will sit for the exam upon finishing the course.
- How do I register for the exam?

UTC will assist you with registering for the exam.
- Where will I take the exam?

Students will have the option of sitting for the exam online at home or at a local testing center.
Job Placement
- Does UTC assist with job placement?

Job placement assistance is available upon request during and after the program, and this benefit is at no extra cost to you!
We work with multiple employer partners as well as staffing companies who are proactively looking to hire our graduates.
A job board is also available to students, where a variety of opportunities are available.

Meeting Days and Times
Registration has closed for the Summer 2024 course. The next course will be held Fall 2024.

- All zoom sessions are recorded and sent to those who cannot attend
- Class will meet on the first day via Zoom from 10-11 a.m.

FAFSA is not eligible for this course. Students do not need to be officially admitted to the university to enroll. Payment is due in full upon registering for the course.
