Cost
- How much does the program cost?
$1,500 includes program materials and textbooks, one set of navy scrubs, TN State CNA Licensing Exam and CPR certification.
- Does the program have to be paid in full when I register?
Yes. If you cannot pay out of pocket, we strongly recommend taking advantage of financial aid.
- Is financial aid available?
Yes! Choose from the following options:
Course Funding and Employment Opportunity: Parkridge Medical Center, Life Care Centers of America and Martin Boyd Christian Home Assisted Living offers qualified students the opportunity to have their CNA course paid for in full. Upon finishing the course, students will be guaranteed full-time employment with their employer sponsor. To qualify, students must be at least 18 years of age and willing to work full-time for their employer sponsor for up to a year. Sallie Mae Loan: The Sallie Mae Loan is a short-term, low-interest student loan. The online application only takes 15 minutes to determine approval. If needed, you may have a cosigner. Learn more about Sallie Mae Loans →
Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA): WIOA funding covers the entire cost of the program for individuals who qualify. If interested, you will need to submit an application to determine eligibility. Learn more about WIOA →
- Are there any employers who will pay for me to go through the course? How does that process work?

- Do I have to fill out a FAFSA?
FAFSA is not required for the program.

- How will I receive my materials?
Your scrubs will be shipped to you. You will receive the rest of your materials on the first night of class.

- Is enrollment into UTC required?
No.
Accreditation
- Is UTC's program accredited?
UTC's CNA program is accredited through the Tennessee Board of Nursing.
Format
- What is the course format?
The format is face-to-face. All class sessions are held on UTC's campus, and all clinical rotations are held at Siskin Hospital.
Clinical Rotation
- What documents must I submit to participate in the clinical rotation?
Students must submit to a thorough background check and drug screening. Additionally, they must have up-to-date immunization records. View the full required documentation list here.
Note that the background check and drug screening must be completed within thirty days of starting clinicals and no earlier.
- Who do I submit the documents to, and when are they due?
Physical copies of the documents must be submitted to the CNA instructor no later than the second week of class.
Job Placement
- Does UTC assist with job placement?
Job placement assistance is available upon request during and after the program, and this benefit is at no extra cost to you!
We work with multiple employer partners as well as staffing companies who are proactively looking to hire our graduates.
A job board is also available to students, where a variety of opportunities are available.

Student Tuition:

FAFSA is not eligible for this course. Students do not need to be officially admitted to the university to enroll. Payment is due in full upon registering for the course.

Registration must be completed 1 week before the course begins to receive scrubs on time.
