Jeannie Hacker-Cerulean, Senior Lecturer has been trained in Theatre at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. She graduated with two degrees in Speech from LSU, BA, 1982, MA 1985., Major Professor, John Dennis. She taught Public Speaking as a graduate student working on her PhD in Speech in the area of Adaptation of Literature for Performance under Dr. Mary Francis Hopkins. Jeannie recently received her ten year pin for teaching full time in the area of Speech. Courses she currently teaches are: Public Speaking, Interpersonal Communication, and Advocacy Speech. She is approved by the Undergraduate Curriculum committee to teach Great Speeches. She has taught: Beyond the Classroom Advocacy & Debate, Beyond the Classroom Reader's Theatre, Directed Studies,  and Contemporary Speech.
