According to the Wall Street Journal's "Paths to Professions" report:

state universities have become the favorite of companies recruiting new hires because of their big student populations and focus on teaching practical skills.

The UTC CECS Workforce Development Center was established in an effort to assist our students in gaining work experience and sharpening their interpersonal skills including mock interviews and video conferencing. In addition, the center helps provide opportunities that expose our students to leadership and community service activities to further broaden their experiential learning experience.

The primary mission of the UTC CECS Workforce Development Center is to in ensure that all of our Engineering and Computer Science students are marketable when they graduate and enter the competitive global workforce. To learn more, go to their website.

• Donate new equipment and or give a financial gift to help us acquire the following:
  • Seven student workstations ($700 each)
  • Video conferencing equipment and software ($5,000)
