Master of Social Work
Welcome!
The MSW-UTC program is an on-campus, face-to-face program with classes meeting in the evening. Graduates are equipped with knowledge, skills, and tools to work with individuals, families, groups, organizations, and the community.
The knowledge and skills learned in an MSW program are used across a wide variety of career fields, including medical social worker, hospice social worker, clinical social worker, volunteer coordinator, group home manager, and nephrology social worker, just to name a few.
With this accredited MSW degree, you should be prepared for social work licensure. Each state has guidelines for the social work licensure, and it is recommended that you review the social work licensure requirements for your state. The Association of Social Work Boards has created a map for quick review of state licensure requirements.
Accreditation
The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga MSW (UTC-MSW) program is fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) Board of Accreditation (BOA).
