First Flight Schedule
First Flight is a pre-welcome week experience created for new students.
PARKING: Parking for non-residential and transfer students will be available for free in the 5th Street Parking Garage on August 19-23.
7:30 AM- 2 PM | Operation Move-In (Freshmen and Transfer Students) | Residence Halls |

1:30 PM- 3:30 PM | Moc Essentials Resource Fair: Students will learn about educational resources and be provided school supplies and swag. | UC Tennessee Room |

6:30 PM | Mocs Fan Fest | Bus transportation provided from campus |
10:00 AM | New Student Convocation | McKenzie Arena |
11:15 AM- 12:15 PM | Mocs First Class: Provides incoming students a class during orientation to welcome and familiarize them with important tips and reminders for a successful start to their first semester at UTC. Students will meet in small groups of 30. Students will meet with faculty and staff. | Classrooms across campus |
12:15 PM- 2 PM | Lunch (meal vouchers available) | Crossroads Dining Hall |
1 PM- 4:30 PM | Downtown in an Hour-Minibus Tour: Join us for a quick tour of your city’s vibrant downtown. Whether you’re a local or a newcomer, you’ll discover something new and meet other Mocs. Space is limited—please sign up and arrive 10 minutes early. | |
2 PM- 5 PM | Handle Your Business: For any last minute business, campus offices will be open to help | Campus Offices (CASA, IT, MocsOne, etc. Look for UTC tents across campus if you need directions) |
11 AM- 2 PM | Luau-style Lunch (meal vouchers available) | Crossroads Dining Hall |
1 PM- 4 PM | Find Your Community: Games and Connections | Lupton Hall and Chamberlain Field |

2 PM- 5 PM | Scrappy's Shuttle: Take a trip to Walmart for last minute supplies. | |
