Internship Opportunities
The Counseling Center offers semester and year-long practicum/internships for graduate students studying counseling and social work.

Applications for the Fall and Summer semester are due by February 1.
Applications for the Spring semester are due by October 1.
- Highlights of the Counseling Center Practicum/Internship Experience
- Receive at least one hour of individual supervision per week, with the opportunity to participate in a group supervision process with other staff therapists.
- Gain experience using a standardized national assessment tool.
- Accumulate clinical hours through triage, individual counseling, group counseling, and crisis intervention.
- Develop diagnostic, treatment planning, and clinical documentation skills.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary offices to provide collaborative care within a larger system.
- Experience working within the guidelines of FERPA and HIPAA.
- Improve knowledge and skills through professional development training opportunities.
- Individual office space and workstation.
- Use of a customizable electronic medical records platform.
